CONTEMPORARY PRACTICES OF INDIRECT WRITTEN FEEDBACK IN HIGH SCHOOL CONTEXT

Indirect written feedback is crucial to be conducted since errors are unavoidable in the process of writing. However, many studies have been undertaken university contexts. Thus, this qualitative case study was carried out examine a teacher's indirect practices senior high school context. The data were obtained from observations, document analysis, and semi-structured interviews through purposive sampling. findings revealed that coded mainly used, supplemented by uncoded commentary. These imply coding system effective guiding students problem solvers independent writers. inconsistency giving codes emerged because use large number codes. it suggested reduce provide sufficient activity increase students' understanding results significant help teachers adjust appropriate methods teach also give long-term benefits for development writing ability. For further research, important analyze effect strategies on revisions as well preferences these strategies.
